Sponsored Student wins Top Energy Institute Award

All at Nemein would like to congratulate Darren Coughlan for his thesis 'modelling down-hole drilling fluid temperature profiles'.

The project was proposed and fully supported by Nemein and ran in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen’s award winning Making the Most of Masters programme.

The depth of literature review, final model and write up Darren produced were well beyond what could reasonably be expected from such a short MSc project.

His final model is quick and very simple to use and achieves a reasonable agreement with significantly more complex industry leading temperature prediction software and will be further refined for use with Nemein products.

Lawrence Till commented 'we are delighted that Darren's hard work and diligence has been recognised by the Energy Institute and won first place in the MSc student best energy paper competition'.
